With the development of mobile communication technology, more and more new communication technologies (like 4G) will be adopted nowadays. Hence, telecom operators have to handle multi-system simultaneity and have to face the problem of re-farming spectrum resource for future. For Traditional Multi Band Fiber Optic Repeaters, most of the manufacturers adopt all-in-one architecture with huge size. Furthermore, one Master Unit can only drive maximum 4 Remote Units, which limits the applications.
For the above mentioned reasons, Helios develops and brings out Helios® Digital Multi-Band Fiber Optic Repeaters basis on DSP technology to resolve such problem. It consists of two parts: Master Unit and Remote Units. One Master Unit can drive up to 32 Remote Units with both star topology and chain topology. All the Remote Units can be embedded service antenna type, which can be very compact size and easy for installation and operation.
Helios® Digital Multi-Band Fiber Optic Repeater System consists of two parts as following:
Master Unit: It captures respective BTS signals via directional couplers (40dB recommended) inserted into output port of respective BTS, down-coverts to IF signals and digitalizes, then converts to optical signal and transmits to Remote Units via fiber optic cable.
Remote Unit: It receives the optical signal from Master Unit, reconverts to digital baseband signal, reconverts to IF signals and up-converts to respective BTS signals, amplifies and retransmits to blind area via embedded service antennas.
Single/Dual/Tri/Quad Band (GSM/DCS/UMTS/LTE FDD/LTE TDD) is available.
Support flexible network topology such as star, chain and ring topology etc.
One Master Unit can drive up to 32 Remote Units.
Advanced time delay compensation function for each Remote Units to avoid time dispersion problem.
Built-in embedded service antenna with very compact size on Remote Unit.
Also support External service antenna or Indoor D. A. S.
Built-in WEB interface for local control.
Built-in wireless modem for remote monitoring by SMS, GPRS or TCP/IP.
